Upcoming Appearances

Sundays in March (6th, 13th 20th and 27th), 2011

Garcia Brogan's, 131 Middlesex Street, Lowell, MA

4-7.  A nice old fashioned hooley, with Seán Connor and special guests.

Sunday, March 13th,

Bull McCabe's, 366A Somerville Ave., Union Square, Somerville, MA

12:30-2:30.  Nice wee session in a nice wee pub with Seán Connor (fiddle) and Roseanne Santucci (flute/zouk), in celebration of Rás na hÉireann.  We won't be running, but we may play extra fast.  Anyone know where we can get a good cup of coffee in the neighborhood?  12:30 is pretty early for us.  Come along to Garcia Brogan's afterward (see above) if two hours just isn't enough.

Paddy's Day, Thursday, March 17th 2011

Darcy's Pub, 110 Willard Street, Quincy, MA, 4-8.

I will be joined by David Bowman and special guests for my traditional Paddy's Day show, with all those songs (you know which ones I mean).

AOH Hall, Salem, MA, 8-Midnight.

Powerful Music on Patrick's Night (great Paddy O'Brien tune) with Seán Connor and Laura Ridarelli (fiddles), and Greg Bramhall (banjo).

My Weekly Sessions

Thursdays — Tommy Doyle's, Harvard Square

6:30-9:30.  Sean Connor and I have been hosting this session for two years now, and we have collected a wonderful crew of regulars. Please join us, all are welcome.  Take a look at my Boston Session Blog for audio and video from Tommy's.

Other Sessions

Mondays — The Green Briar, Brighton

The Boston area's longest running session, and a good one. Hosted by the great Larry Reynolds, this is one of the biggest, friendliest sessions I have ever attended.  There is a slow session (for learners) from 7-9 and the main event from 9-close.  I am often in after 10.

Tuesdays — John Harvard’s, Harvard Square

This is a nice, friendly session, hosted by Emerald Rae. They play a mix of Irish, Scottish and Cape Breton music, so no matter where you are coming from you should find both something to play and something new to listen to. I only make it once in a blue moon, but Sean turns up more often than not.

Wednesday — Tommy Doyle's, Harvard Square

6-8.  A couple of hours of full of fiddle tunes.

Saturday Morning Brunch Session — Alchemy Cafe and Bistro, Gloucester

Sean and Emerald, enough said.
