Welcome to the Irish American Association of Northwest New Jersey's session website. Some of the top traditional musicians in the New York area (and the world) have already come through the monthly session at the IAANJ "clubhouse" in Rockaway Township, and many more great players will sit in the host's chair in the coming months.
On this page you will find tune lists (as well as a nascent index) for our session recording series, with links to various online versions of the tune in abc notation or traditional music notation. I have also included a growing number of "snips" (short MP3 clips of the tune, once through) in the tune list. If the tune name is linked, just click on it to hear the snip. If you can help us fill in any of the blanks, or if you have any other information you would like to share, such as the identity of the players, alternate names of the tune, its composer, or anything else that you think might be of interest, please send me an email. I have recently started a tune identification contest -- see below for details.
I have also included a few sample tracks, in .mp3 format, that may be downloaded free of charge. If you are interested in ordering a CD, send an email to Iris Nevins. All proceeds from CD sales go directly to fund the session, so if you have attended the session or have found this website helpful, please considering ordering one -- in addition to getting some great music, you will supporting our efforts to help traditional music grow and thrive in this area.
For directions directions to the IAANJ Cultural Center visit our website or take a look at this map. All sessions and concerts begin at 8pm, unless otherwise indicated.

The Search Function is still a little wonky -- it tends to choke on little words like 'and' or 'the' -- try omitting all the small words in the tune name. For instance -- 'over moor maggie' will find the CD with 'Over the Moor to Maggie' on it.
